These sites are usually run by individuals who have their own take on sexual issues. Several are either quite valuable academically or are simply very funny. Showing them here does not indicate endorsement of their ideologies.
Relationshit
There's dynamic stuff happening out there. This site gives a lowdown on how to deal with the modern feme. It's valuable advice for any man who wants to be more than just a handbag in this crazy sexist world.
Niceguy
This is a mammoth rant about 'Ameriskanks', by an American Nice-guy, criticising the feminist-ation of the personality of American women. Some great insights into the effects of feminism on modern sexual compatibility and conflict.
Martian Bachelor Science (RIP)
An oddball site which has stuff on women and feminism and individual desire and the politics of correctness. Like many intellectuals... he's been henpecked into covert resistance. Satire is my survival mechanism.
Eyesoreland (RIP)
Eyesoreland is involved in a combination of art and politics, some of it sexual. There are a variety of t-shirts sold, mainly on a sexual theme. At the same time the website contains a series of intriguing critical artistic commentaries on modern urban life, international political hypocrisy, contradictions within political correctness. Buy a t-shirt and support art.
Bigbadchinesemama.com
This site was created by a young Chinese-American-Los Angelean, don't typecast me white honkey anti-lady. It has opinions that some will find intriguing, disturbing or very funny. Contributions are invited from other Asian women to disabuse white males of their stereotyped porn-aesthetic g(l)azed perspective of 'Asianness'.
Narcosis net comics (see picture on left)
These comics are a series (no longer updated) that delve into a number of subjects relevant to this site. Takes stabs at sexual politics, deals with typical modern day characters, issues and themes. Some of it misses the mark but most of the strips are cutting edge.
Brian Carnell's feminist pages (RIP)
Here is one that should really get the lefties up in arms, a comprehensive right wing analysis of feminist correctness. Has discussion of feminist ideology and gives references on both anti-male and pro-male feminists. Also includes a reader response forum.
Per's MANifesto (Missing in Action)
This was once a brilliant site but it had no updates since late 1998.
The newsletter format has a huge amount of well written analysis of contemporary sexual political issues. Self described as a "newsletter on man-bashing
and anti-male stereotypes. Examining feminism, feminist intolerance
and rhetoric, the portrayal of men in the news, gender issues,
anti-male stereotypes in the news and popular entertainment."
Per's site includes links to his weird and wacky stuff which is very funny. These include The POW Page, Featuring Colleen Hyphenated-Lastname "satirizing feminism and feminist conspiracy theories, anti-male stereotypes" and also Mondo Feminism: News From the Weird Side "True stories of strange beliefs of feminism and gender politics. All absolutely true." Worth having a look if you enjoy humour and satire.
Robert Schaeffer's Domain of Patriarchy (Missing in Action)
Describes itself as "Refuting the Most Common Feminist Lies and Pseudo-Scholarship."
An excellent site based on sound academic research. Has a good short discussion of feminist historical utopianism. It claims that a "patriarchal" tradition of rational argument and logical refutation triumphs over feminist ideology.
No MA'AM (Commercialised)
This is a site that is hard to describe. Partly it's for men who are proud of their masculine vulgarity. Their mascot is Al Bundy. It's sexist piggery writ large and yet profoundly. There's some brilliant stuff on relationships, feminism and being the hapless male who seeks comfort in typical perverse male attitudes. Some humorous sound files.
Rightgrrrrrrrl (I love grills) (Missing in Action)
The word is that there is now a cumpulsory minimal quota of female sites that must be included in the reference section so here is another token of our esteem.
Todd Lehr (Missing in Action)
There is some interesting sexual politics material on his site. Statistics and links.
The chauvenist corner for real men
Appears to be a good natured satirical site with a very long list of items. Unfortunately I could never get past the home page and my computer bombed. Apparently this is due to some big sound files. If you have a beefed up computer then explore.
Feminist Censorship in Germany
This is a site that reveals the same issue of feminist hegemony exists in Europe. The English pages still need some work as they are cryptic. But there are some reasonable links to other sites and some quotes from prominent German magazines.
I find the author slightly paranoid but then German men do have to put up with FEMINAZIS!!
Eye of the mind
This site is a little bit disorganised but the author tells me he is doing a review of materials. It includes US politics as well as sexual politics. There are some ideas which I find a little dramatically expressed and milenarian but a few pages represent excellent summaries of the way current issues have evolved. Presents some diverse analyses of male and female psychology in the feminist era.
Return of the Gods
This site claims to represent a critique of feminism but I thought it seemed a thinly veiled attempt to defend conservative viewpoints on the family without providing sufficient justification for its claims. Still, that was my initial reaction and a cross section of opinions should be entertained.
Rowena's pages (Missing in Action)
This is a refreshing site from a young woman who takes issue with feminism and a variety of other ideologies that piss her off. It covers a range of subjects such as poetry, cooking and university life. (Why does he always say YOUNG woman, as if that was important?!)
The following sites are more suited to reference searches and academic study. They include extensive links and data on men's issues, fatherhood and feminist discussion. They are often magazine format.
WWW Virtual Library: The Men's Issues Page
This is one of the oldest established sites on men's issues. The US had developed a men's movement before many countries and here are many references dating back to the early 1990's. Consider this sub page for example.
From: Christopher Subject: Domestic Violence - A Story Date: Tue, 3 Jan 1995
"Someone mentioned that all these stats on domestic violence were interesting, but where were the real stories." Here's one for you.
Stuart Birks' Gender Page
This is one of the most comprehensive sites on the internet dealing with men's issues as well as feminism and especially child custody. Fairly up-to-date links to several sites mentioned here. Statistics and data, especially on New Zealand.
Peter Vogel's Certified Male Magazine (Missing in Action)
This site has intelligently written essays derived mainly from back issues of the magazine. The magazine comes in a hard copy and emerged out of a men's group meeting in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. It deals mostly with issues and problems for non-custodial fathers. Peter Vogel takes a neutral stance on feminism but is very supportive of men's social standing.
Rod van Mechelen's Backlash Magazine
A magazine format site with lots of comments on contemporary and topical sex war issues. Contains many references to feminist ideology in the US press. Has some intelligent ideas on the problems facing men and illicits calls for a sympathetic treatment of them/us.
Fathersforlife (Missing in Action)
A site which identifies with father's rights. However it has some very good links to a variety of reference sources dealing with sexual politics. Similar to Stuart Birk's pages.
Men's Rights Association
Susan Price is the coordinator, one of the few educated women not beholden to the femo-clan's hold on women's beliefs and alliances. The site has some interesting essays criticising the dominant view of men as useless to family life. See especially Babette Francis. It emphasises the importance of supporting men's role in the family. It appears to have very conservative connections.
South-East Queensland Men's Issues Page
It's an odd geographical location but this site has some interesting discussions of feminism and its portrayal of men. As John Mack describes his site, "Individual men know that they personally do not fit feminist descriptions of manhood, but are so alienated from other men that they can easily assume there is some vast, amorphous mass of men somewhere
"out there" that does fit the stereotypes."
Good Will to Men
Jack Kammer published a book in which he quotes several women who give a sympathetic look at men. He identifies a key term for the men's movement. The "lace curtain" is a curtain that denies the men's movement access to the mainstream media, with feminist perspectives dominating on television, in newspapers and bookstore shelves.
Manhood Online
This site is reasonably good for links and some discussion of men's issues. It seems to be mainly supported by middle class and executive class men.
The Australian Men's Party
This group highlights the fact that women have a diversity of government bureaucracies which specifically represent their interests. There is an Office for the Status of Women (Australia) and many other departments which all contribute to women's special provisions and often privileges. They advocate greater consideration of men's special needs?
Manslife Magazine
Provides some ideas and experiences on the prevalence of reciprocal violence. She hits too!
"While we wait for more enlightened policies, what can a man do if he is being battered?"
PINC Politically incorrect site
Contains a concise history of modern feminism including definitional issues. I would rate the history as in some respects better than my own. Very scholarly and acutely intelligent analysis of feminist ideological positioning. The site also deals with other contemporary ideologies broadly, though not exclusively, delineated by left and right political convictions.
Antifeminism
Jim Kalb does a good job of defining feminism. He has a number of references and has a strong opinion against the value of feminist ideology:
"Feminism must therefore be opposed as a destructive fanaticism based on a gross and wilful misapprehension of human life."
Men's Equity Network
Some good stuff but the site seems to be static now.
The Surfing Lawyer
This is suitable mainly as a page dedicated purely to links. It has a clear layout for entry to some common popular men's issues sites.
It's always his fault
This is another interesting link. It's part of a page from a women's net magazine.
Peer Leadership Australia
This is a page dedicated to links mostly in Australia. They are oriented to father issues but some others too.
Non Sexist language
The University of Western Sydney has a policy on sexist language.
"Due to recent rapid social changes, however, the use of man as
a generic term has led to misrepresentation and exclusion of women."
Scum manifesto
Valerie Solanas, writing in the 1960s, preempted many contemporary attitudes to the relationship between men and women. She wrote, The Society for Cutting Up Men (S.C.U.M.) Olympia Press. Her ideas are hilarious if they weren't also slightly insidious. She believes men should be eliminated: "It is now technically possible to reproduce without the aid of males...we must begin immediately to do so. The male is a biological accident." And we thought the sixties only produced male chauvenist pigs!
