Raising and lowering the big issuesIn our thoroughly modern society no subject is safe from sexual politics...not even that most sacred of activities, going to the can. (Also known as Number 1s and Number 2s). Here is your opportunity to get a greater insight into the issues feminism has raised/lowered in regard to the toilet lid. This is no piss-take! It's a subject that every thinking person should understand in the battle for sexual power. It is easy to forget that the modern toilet has not been around for such a long time. We know that in most parts of the world people still squat in ditches to clear their bowels and bladders. But in the Western world plumbing has been an accepted part of life for decades. In countries such as Australia, toilets were kept outside for much of the early 20th century. This was because toilets were not yet connected to a main sewerage system. Now this activity has been brought into the home. And it has become politicised. With the advent of feminist agitation in the 1960s the subject of toilet etiquette saw increasing controversy. Women were encouraged to identify oppression and unfair treatment in every corner, every crevice and every bowl of their lives. Nowhere is safe from the ravages of male ignorance, incivility and the blighty penis. Feminists therefore necessarily felt that even men's urinating really pisses them off.

The basis of the issue is that men allegedly leave the toilet lid up, in order to shoot a stream of urine into the bowl, while women invariably sit to defecate or urinate (though some men I know insist women do neither of these things!). Feminists therefore agitated over the issue and insisted that men should put the lid down, after they had taken a slash. They argued that this was a reasonable demand. And they put forward a variety of reasons why men should comply. In a relentless quest to expose ideological error and foul play in feminist theory, this page analyses the subject and comes up with a golden shower of startling new information, insights and dilemmas. Let's start with that old bug bear of female logic. What most men haven't figured out is why do women want the lid down all the time. This seems in fact unegalitarian. If everybody just leaves the lid the way they like it then everybody is inconvenienced equally. Aaahhh, that poor male rationality. Feminists argue that the lid should be down because that's more appropriate. Women don't want to sit on the rim accidentally if they're going to the can in the middle of the night, forgetting to turn the light on. The lid is more often down, therefore it should stay down always. These few reason, and many others, are of course spurious and misleading. The fundamental issue is that feminists like men to do what they are told. It is an exercise in domination, to test whether the individual man will obey instructions or whether he will resist. In a sense she wants to usurp his throne by emasculating his toiletry habits...turning his gendered biological need into a social unacceptable activity. In fact, in some countries (like Germany) men have been encouraged to actually sit while peeing. This is of course feminism's ultimate goal, to turn men into women. The Germans call a man who sits to urinate, a "Sitzpinkler", also a term for an emasculated male. And these guys wanted to rule the world?!!!. How can we defend ourselves against this relentless attack on our private parts and acts? We know already that Freud identified penis envy among some women. Feminism is of course penis envy writ large. So the obvious question some readers will be asking is "why don't feminists piss standing up?" Indeed, any man confronted by this prickly subject should use this as his response. If women want true equality with men, to stand as equals, and enter the realm of macho power, then aiming for the bowl will be the new goal. Pissing like a girl is for stay-at-home sissies. Are there any ways that men can resist the encroachments on their freedom and fight back? I know an unconscious method used by one guy I used to know. You see he had the perfect solution. He just never lifted the seat at all, like a true chauvinist. Men, I urge you wherever you go to raise the lid at all times, regardless. Its not about equality. This is about war, and we must use every means to rebel. Further reading and references on the internet:Visit Restrooms.org Attention ladies! Time to prove your mettle.
