Thinkbomb
Philosophy, symbology, begging
Welcome to the Begging Section
THINKBOMB is independently run and developed by one brave individual under conditions of intellectual and financial duress. Although the pressures of kicking against the pricks (and cunts?!!) is something I have accepted as a necessary lone battle, there is still an opportunity for you to help me in this struggle. If you find this site interesting, informative, provocative, enlightening or funny then why not support its activity.
There are several ways that you can help. The first way is to let friends know about the site. Secondly you could let me know about any information that is relevant to the activities here, especially new sites or events happening in your area. (You could send reference to news items or pictures on the main themes of the site.)
A financial contribution to the site is also welcome. (In fact that's the hidden agenda of this whole exercise.) My suggestion is a sum of $10 if you have read several pages of the site and feel that it deserves reward. This amount can be paid online by credit card using PayPal, a reputable service. Just click on the following link:
Some time in the future I hope to publish a book that incorporates many of the ideas covered on these pages. The book will be much more serious than this site and cover a wider range of issues. Expressions of interest indicated by you will allow me to consider what additional issues might be covered.
About the Thinkbomb philosophy
The THINKBOMB website was established for the purpose of challenging contemporary thinking on a number of popular subjects. The site seeks to undermine dominant ideologies in society that are largely false, although they are widely accepted as true. Some of these common ideologies or belief systems bring privileges to elites while causing damage to wider society. The aim of challenging dominant ideas is to create a more rational and overtly self-conscious society.
The issues and ideologies that I seek to cover include feminism, racism, environmentalism, political correctness and miscellaneous ideologies such as theories of cultural genocide. Unfortunately my intellectual and time resources are limited. So you will find that only sexual issues are currently covered on the site. This allows a single topic to be examined in-depth.
The ultimate aim of Thinkbomb is not anarchistic; to destroy beliefs for its
own sake. The aim is to contribute to human progress, firstly of the mind and then of social relations. This is a constructive aim, because it presents an opportunity for people to
participate in a discussion of their belief systems. In the process of discussion
a sense of what is right and wrong gains greater rationality and legitimacy. It is hoped that people will change their day to day actions in response to the issues raised here.
"We don't hold these lies to be self evident."
One of the key thought processes challenged by Thinkbomb is political correctness. This term describes a phenomenon whereby some social knowledge and insight is suppressed in favour of a dominant political agenda. People are required to uphold the current 'correct outlook.' Politically correct viewpoints are often contrary to an instinctive understanding of reality; contrary to our immediate interests and of course contrary to what is really happening in society.
Politically correct beliefs, though well-intentioned, are often fraudulent. They
usually paint a picture of present day society as irredeemably racist,
sexist or environmentally destructive and in need of change. Yet in their own way, PC beliefs may create new oppression. This is the issue raised by Thinkbomb
There is also an inherent danger in the project of knocking down PC beliefs. The destruction of existing belief systems can often lead to their replacement by worse beliefs. Knocking down one set of beliefs may give license for hateful people to espouse their ideologies in a vacuum. For example, under the title of "thought crime" on the internet you will find many sites that have peculiar responses to orthodox values. Quite a few anti-pc sites are neo-nazi or white pride groups. Opposition to feminism, which I deal with extensively, also brings many nutty males out of the cupboard. The aim therefore is to rise above political correctness, rather than to sink below it.
Meet the new doctrine, same as the old doctrine
Throughout human history the majority of people have been guided in
their beliefs and actions by religious conviction. Christianity and Islam are obvious examples but Marxism, feminism and even environmentalism are no less religious in their social application. Often such (religious) convictions are a progressive force for creating unity, order, progress and justice in societies. Yet we know that at other times these ideologies have served sinister purposes. Marxism is an obvious example of a theory put to ambiguous uses in the Soviet Union. It continues to serve bizarre purposes in the hands of rabid socialists.
The evils that emerge in human societies are partly a product of ideologies that are 'politically-correct' in their time. Greater scepticism and intellectual vigilence is therefore required among the majority of the world's people, so that justice is given air.
There should be far greater truth in the discussion of social policies. Although this raises some of the initial costs of social agendas, it also protects the mental integrity of all citizens.
Thinkbomb presents controversial opinions as the basis for beginning discussion. You are welcome to join in the discussion of current social issues being debated. Please consider that preference is given to fresh views, with some factual opinion. What is not encouraged is wild and fanatical allegations which are so common in public debate on the internet. Even if we disagree on the subject we should remember that most of the time everybody wants to see the best outcome for all. We want what is true and what is fair.
The current subject of Thinkbomb focuses on sexual politics. Feminism is the dominant ideology shaping social opinion and government agendas in contemporary society. The site presents a satirical critique of feminism. However it should be stated that this does not mean that the aim is to oppose women in making social gains. The aim is to generate a critical engagement with this ideology and search out its negative effects on sexual relations. The purpose is to advance understanding and ultimately to address many of the potent social issues that have emerged alongside the rise of feminism. There is a growing body of material on the site with a serious discussion of sexual power.
